Grammy’s – hits and adventurous

leave a comment »

Here are some snapshots off the red carpet at the Grammy’s 2010

HIT - John Legend’s Prada suit. Digging the knitted tie and netted vest

HIT - Usher in Emporio Armani. Clean and well cut. Interesting colour for suit and play of checked shirt with dotted tie

SO-SO – Miley Cyrus in Hervé Léger by Max Azria. Not loving the hair but at least she is not in some drabby gown

BAH BORING – Britney Spears in Dolce & Gabbana. Britney as a brunette? Not loving it.

OK LAH – Black Eye Peas. They dressed their parts, but we’ve seen it before

ERM, NOT SO SURE - Katy Perry in Zac Posen. It’s a pretty dress, with the back out in the open, but I think she is too “BOOMZ” for it.

OK LAH – Jennifer Lopez in Versace. She was not sure whether to wear a gown or mini skirt, so she settled for an in-between (her legs)

ERM, NOT SO SURE – Rihanna in Elie Saab. She is a beautiful who looks great in white. The dress has a beautiful silhouette, but I don’t think it’s her

BAH BORING – Jennifer Hudson in Victoria Beckham (I didn’t know she has a line) This ensemble is good for the power career woman. But not red carpet friendly

Hands down, she is most ADVENTUROUS. Lady Gaga in Armani Prive. I am surprised Armani designs such ‘interesting’ dresses

Coco Rocha in the middle in her own creation, ROCOCO. I say OH SO COCO. I think it’s an interesting piece in a good way, at least she has a better interpretation of “a minidress meets gown” look

HIT – Jennifer Nettles (who?) in Victoria Beckham. I am biased. I love red.

HIT – Nicole Kidman in Prada. Love the timeless classic look. Would love to see it in a twist like a pantsuit.

HIT – Keri Hilson in Dolce & Gabbana. Lovely and she looks expensive

HIT – Beyonce in Stéphane Rolland. Love the graphic on the dress. but the earrings is too loud in my taste.

HIT – Heidi Klum in Emilio Pucci. She still looks gorgeous after her pregnancy.

HIT – Winner of the night (besides Beyonce), Taylor Swift in Kaufman Franco

Going Gaga

with one comment

If you hadn’t seen Lady Gaga during the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA), you probably missed seeing her in 6 different outfits during the event. She never fails to shock the world with her over-the-top dress sense. Every outfit was no less than a costume, a fashion statement. And Lady Gaga has brought her whacky dress sense to a new level with the following

On the red carpet she looks almost regal and glamourous in this. Yes over-the-top with too much Phantom of the Opera elements but still acceptable

Her performance outfit, with she had smeared fake blood over it as she is obsessed over dead starlets. Morbid yes

This is just disturbing. And freaky like a red lace condom when she accepted her award

I call this the space cadet infatuated with Marilyn Monroe look

The Lion’s mane, but otherwise nice head-dress. I bet she was trying to distract the winners on the stage.

Looks Corpse-bride-ish but i like that white dress she has on. kudos to adding spice to an otherwise plain but fantastic dress

Hail the queen of crazy dressing. Only she can carry off such outfits with such confidence and fitnesse.

Off the Golden Globe Red Carpet

leave a comment »

This is long overdue but here are some of my favourite ladies for the Golden Globe awards ceremony on Jan 11.

The winner of the night – Kate Winslet in Stefano Pilati for Yves Saint Laurent. She wore it with class, style and elegance.

Golden Globes Arrivals

Ex-Princess Diaries’ starlet, Anne Hathaway, looking very regal in her royal blue Giorgio Armani Prive Swarovski crystals-filled dress

Golden Globes Arrivals

Beyonce looking stunning and ever so sexy in her thigh baring, high cut Elie Saab Couture gown

Golden Globes Arrivals

My favourite Hollywood girl, Drew Barrymore, in a custom-made John Galliano’s Dior Haute Couture icy-blue silk tulle dress. The dress worked, and although everyone hated her Marilyn Monroe hair, I love it!

Golden Globes Arrivals

And always a crowd pleaser who dress her part, Eva Longoria Parker in red Reem Acra gown

Golden Globes Arrivals

Next onto Grammy’s and Oscar red carpets!

/edit: I decided to skip Grammy’s and Oscars because it really sucks. I’ll only cover red carpets if it’s REALLY really good.
