I can’t remember the first time I saw this quirky,whimsical actress on tv or movies. But the most memorable time I saw her was on Top Chef, 500 Days of Summer & a rerun of Failure to Launch.

I remembered the spelling of her name by spliting it up. Zoo (ey) (Des) Chanel. So to me she is Zoo Chanel. Random sidetrack

I can’t recall where I saw these pictures on, but I know I have to save it because this is exactly the kind of photography, styling that I like. abit of the 1930 flapper days or the 1950s photo treatment. Zooey Deschanel looked happy, hauntingly beautiful with her blue eyes with a tinge of grey, and every bit the strange oddball she is in the photos.

Topshop, River Island, Forever21. Some of the high street brands very popular among the young females in Singapore. This summer season, I am falling in love with the vintage floral prints, long flowing maxi dresses, colourful sundresses, soft flowy fabric suitable for the sunny Singapore. So I made this comment on FB:

“Summer dresses everywhere. I want! Wait a min it is summer all year round in Singapore. So must buy MORE!”

Indeed, Singapore has the ideal climate to dress in summer dresses, shorts and flip flops all year round. However come the Sep – Feb, the shops are always selling the more muted winter collections. Hence come CNY (Chinese New Year) in Feb, I always end up buying the kind of dresses that I don’t really want to wear in summer or for the beckoning of spring.

I think I should buy more this summer to stock up for CNY. Am I nuts?
